LOC Conservation Ethic
Here at Linehan Outfitting Company we believe in a strong conservation ethic. After all, good conservation is good for business. To that end, our work with Trout Unlimited will always be one of the most rewarding aspects of our business.
Locally, Tim serves as the Kootenai Valley Chapter President and on the Montana Trout Unlimited State Council. As the host of Trout Unlimited Television for 6 years, Tim educated millions of viewers to the challenges and opportunities of environmental stewardship. Tim annually hosts several Trout Unlimited trips to various locations around the country and is presently spearheading an effort to encourage more outfitters and guides to become involved in Trout Unlimited under the banner of the Outfitter, Guide, Business Program (OGB).
The OGB program is designed to increase and organize outfitter, guide and business participation in Trout Unlimited. The OGB program has been met with enthusiastic support from outfitters, guides, and businesses whose livelihoods depend on healthy populations of native salmonids and coldwater resources. By creating more of a conservation voice from within the industry, Tim believes more important and necessary projects can be accomplished.
Tim will also continue to be an ambassador for the organization and host, along with other TU national staff members, Coldwater Conservation Fund (CCF) fishing trips at various locations east and west. The Coldwater Conservation Fund is a specific donor level and allows members to participate in fishing trips and to learn more about the science behind the TU projects their dollars are helping to fund around the country.
Trout Unlimited is this country's leading coldwater conservation organization. With over 150,000 members nationwide, TU is responsible for significant restoration and protection of our watersheds, trout and other salmonid populations. If you're reading this paragraph you must enjoy fishing for trout. If you enjoy fishing for trout, please consider joining TU.
